What Players Are Saying About The Duke’s Tourney

A fun, fast-paced series of tournament games!

What makes “The Duke’s Tourney” shine is the opportunities for real roleplaying and social maneuvering—it captures a full tournament event, not just combat. The physical product is beautiful, with a clean layout that’s easy to reference during play.

I rolled up a mediocre knight and was sure I’d get unhorsed in the first round, but ended up advancing to the Quarterfinals! The jousting rules are fast and keep the action intense every charge down the lists. Perfect for adding knightly action and pageantry to your Dolmenwood game.

A great set of games to add to your TTRPG with plenty of flavor and flexibility. Highly recommend for fans of both historical and fantasy roleplaying.

Had lots of fun playing this. Winning a lady’s favor was especially enjoyable, and there were many different activities for characters to pursue—even though mine managed to anger her family.

Playing “The Duke’s Tourney” was genuinely immersive with well-paced, board-game-like flow. The detailed, multi-dimensional NPCs made the world feel alive and reactive. Well-thought-out rules create a strong narrative with tangible rewards that could easily seed a full campaign.

A really excellent and ultra-detailed supplement!

This is awesome and everything I dreamed of doing in Dolmenwood. You can’t believe my delight that someone has done the work for something I would never have been able to match if I were to try myself.

The Excerpta Series

If you want to toe-dip the Dolmenwood tournament experience, check out the Excerpta series of supplements, each of which presents a small slice of the entire tourney. Same great rules, smaller scope.

Pendragon meets Dolmenwood! This excellent game aid expertly highlights some interesting and fun to play aspects of knights and knighthood and adapts them to the Dolmenwood setting. Anyone with even the slightest interest in knights in OSR will find a treasure trove of inspiration and some elegant game mechanics here. My favorite is the renown system, which rewards chivalrous deeds with fame and fame with followers. Highly recommended.
